SWiB
These photos were taken at the South West Image Bank, on the Barbican in Plymouth. This photographic archive is well worth a visit if you are interested in photography, history or anything vintage. They have a gallery which shows frequently changing exhibitions, as well as having research facilities if you want to search for specific images. The Image Bank is housed in a beautiful old building that has been lovingly restored after falling into ruin after previous lives as a dairy & even a 'house of ill repute'! Having seen it when the SWiB team first got the keys & the building was falling down around them, I'm amazed at the transformation!
The photos above are of one of the old cameras in the permanent collection, and some film reels that were donated - at this point they had just been dropped off & were waiting to be catalogued.
